Pastor Temi and his wife Modesta of Restoration Church in Laurel, MD.

Meet Temi & Modesta

Temi and Modesta have the joy of planting Restoration Church, a community passionate about seeing young professionals and families experience a life that is renewed by Christ, rooted in community, and restored to purpose.
‍
Together, they bring different experiences and callings that shape how they serve. Temi studied Electrical Engineering at Morgan State University and later earned a Master’s in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary. He also engages in bi-vocational work as a Data Scientist. Modesta earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Today, she serves as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, passionate about helping people find healing and wholeness.

When they’re not pastoring, working, or parenting, you’ll probably find them enjoying simple things such as reading, walking, playing board games, working out, or listening to podcasts on holistic health. More than anything, they love creating spaces where people feel welcomed, known, and encouraged.
